Dynamo and Pinks Pizza

Tonight the Dynamo played Toronto FC. Being the Dynamo fans that we are, Matt and I watched the game and I ordered some Pinks Pizza!

As you can see Matt was really excited!

We ordered the Mediterranean pizza from Pinks. And it was good!

This was our first time to have Pinks and I was pleasantly surprised! Their crust was super yummy.

I love enjoying a nice glass of wine and soccer with my hubby and Latte.

Toronto is where my favorite player was traded to from the Dynamo. Boy do I miss DRo. We need him back so bad! With him we won 2 championships and it hasn't been the same since we left.

The Dynamo were ahead 2-1 going into the last 10 minutes of the game. But....they let up and Toronto scored to tie the game.

Bummed because our team tied and we are now tied for 4 with 2 other teams.

But on the up side....Latte's eye is looking much better!

I See An Eclipse!

Wednesday night I met up with Amy, Courtney and Caroline to go see Eclipse from the Twilight Saga. We arrived about 2 1/2 hours early for the 9:55 showing and guess what we found. No one. We were the first people to arrive! What!!!! I've never been early for anything.

Here we are celebrating our line leader status!

Courtney, Amy, me and Caroline

To pass the time we had movie food for dinner and luckily Amy brought Phase 10 for us to play.
The line is starting to build up!
By movie time the line was wrapped down the hall and back around the hall almost to where we were sitting.
We're in! And we had the first pick of seats! Here are our line buddies who were behind us.

Overall, I think this was the best of the Twilight movies so far. It was a little less cheesy and you could tell they were able to put more money into the film. Can't wait for the next one!
After the movie was done, we ran into our line buddies again and they asked us to take a picture with this guy.Sandra then asked if we wanted her to take a picture of us. Of course we said yes, but then we were confused by as to why she wanted to take a picture of us with this random guy. As you can see we are all confused in this picture.

As it turns out his name is Sugar Shane Mosley a professional boxer. I believe he boxed Mayweather and beat him. Not too shabby!

Oh No!

I came home from work on Tuesday and this is what I found.

Latte's eye was almost swollen shut. I figured she had something in her eye so I kept trying to get it out but nothing worked. It looked like she had a film on her eye so I then tried to rinse it with water. Again, nothing worked. So I researched on line and found that it could be a cornea ulcer, so I immediately took her to the Heights Vet Clinic. The vet put a green dye in her eye and confirmed that indeed she had a large scratch on her eye. So $200 later he gave me some ointment to put in her eye 3-5 times a day. Poor Little Latte! I've been putting the ointment in her eye 5 times a day so we can get this thing healed already!

Happy B-Day Meg!

Monday was Meg's 28th birthday! We had a great night of pasta, cookie cake and Wii! We started out the night with some great red wine and gifts! Matt got Meg a bell for her new beach cruiser and I got her a super cute love bird address stamp. For a little back ground, Meg and Guy just bought new beach cruisers a few weeks ago and ride them everyday! They are so cute and Meg even has a little basket for Lexi to ride in. It's so cute. Hopefully we start riding with them soon. Also, I bought Matt and I an address label a while ago. When I showed Meg she got so exited she stamped her hand with our address label. At that moment I knew I HAD to get her her own when they bought a house!

Here is Meg's cookie cake. I asked for pink dots instead of green. Too bad I didn't realize it looked like chicken pocks! Oops!

Matt and Meg celebrating!

Later, we bowled and Meg boxed on the Wii. She dominated the game and bet about 5 players! Awesome! I've never even made it past the warm up!

It's Getting Hot in Here!

Matt and I woke up Sunday and low and behold our AC had quit working. Life sure didn't wait for us since the wedding. Since we have been home the garbage disposal, water heater and ac have been giving us trouble. Oh well, life must go on. I spoke with my friend Kurt and he helped Matt and I figure out what the problem was. And luckily for us Goodle is a great resource and helped us repair the AC unit on our own. Matt and I originally removed the screws so we would manually spin the fan. Since it started we figured it had to be the capacitor, little did we know we were looking at the wrong part when we diagnosed the problem. I found a guy who had a new capacitor for us to buy on a Sunday so we just had to figure out how to get the capacitor out. Once we finally figured out there was a back compartment that had to be removed in order to take the fan off we found this......

The capacitor

We capacitor looked like a can of soad that had been shaken up. So we bought a new one and Matt replaced it. I was so nervous that Matt would shoke himself but he did such an amazing job. So we saved a few hundred dollars as well as learning how to fix it ourselves.
Here is my hubby fixing the AC unit. Woohoo!

Stay tuned. I'm sure we will be replacing something else soon!
